Work closely with Andy Henry and Sarah Paulley throughout rehearsals and production: support performers and small groups, develop the ensemble’s storytelling, offer an additional directorial perspective, and assist with notes, scheduling and communication. Suited to an emerging director developing large-scale ensemble experience.

The Production Manager will oversee practical planning and delivery, working closely with the directors, designer, venue and wider creative and technical teams. The role may involve developing the production schedule; coordinating communication, budgets, purchasing and resources; liaising with Belloporto Town Hall about access, facilities and technical requirements; coordinating get-in, technical rehearsals, performances and get-out; managing risks, health and safety documentation, deadlines and responsibilities. We particularly welcome emerging production managers seeking large-scale ensemble experience.

The Stage Manager will organise the rehearsal room and help ensure smooth technical rehearsals and performances. The role may involve supporting the directors and company, recording blocking and notes, maintaining calls and attendance, coordinating props, furniture, costumes and equipment, preparing the move into Belloporto Town Hall, organising backstage activity, running or calling the show, and maintaining safety procedures including fight calls and prop checks. The Stage Manager works closely with the Production Manager, directors and technical team; Deputy and Assistant Stage Managers may also be appointed.

The Depute Stage Manager will support the Stage Manager, Production Manager and directors in organising rehearsals and the running of performances. Responsibilities may include recording rehearsal notes and changes, tracking props and costume requirements, preparing prompt materials, helping coordinate calls and backstage activity, supporting technical rehearsals and maintaining agreed safety procedures. This role offers a practical opportunity to gain experience within a large-scale ensemble production.

Shape the production’s physical language across battles, journeys, celebrations and transitions. Develop ensemble movement, crowd sequences and character shifts, choreograph changes of location, and collaborate with directors, designer and combat director. Movement, choreography, dance and physical-theatre practitioners are welcome.

Help shape the musical identity through arranging songs, leading vocal rehearsals, developing harmony and rhythm, integrating live music and working with instrumentalists and the sound designer. Scottish traditional music experience is welcome but not essential.

Create dramatically effective, historically appropriate and safe duels, battlefield sequences and staged violence. Choreograph and teach repeatable fights, establish fight calls and safety procedures, advise on rehearsal weapons, and support stage management.
